Here you can apply to lead the herd. Fill out the required information COMPLETELY. Yes, you may copy and paste from your profile. More then one person may apply for a herd at a time. The winner of the herd will be selected by the application. If it appears like a tie, the admins will dig into the technicalities, and even a coin toss.

Don't worry, there's always the chance to challenge for the herd in a month if you still want it. And there's always other herds available for claim/challenge. Yes, you may repost your application from one claim to another, challenges, however, have different applications.
